Playing with your dog
During a puppy’s development, play is of vital importance. Because you will not always be at home, it is important that your puppy learns to play alone. There are a lot of fun animal toys sold in stores that will make sure your puppy has a great time. Puppies and dogs love chew sticks made from buffalo hide. These are available in the Sherley’s range. When purchasing toys for your pet, keep in mind they will be chewed and so should not contain any toxic materials, protrusions (your dog can chew them off and swallow them), no sharp edges and it shouldn’t be possible for your dog to swallow the toy whole. Avoid little balls and small baby toys.
Indoor accidents
Should your puppy or dog have a little accident in your house, Sherley’s Spray Away plus will be of assistance. It will remove stains left by faecal matter, urine or vomit, without leaving traces or smells, or affecting carpet fibres.
Gnawing escapades
Puppies especially will show a tendency to gnaw at their basket, doors, cabinets, etc. It is a common habit when teething
Travelling together
Some dogs enjoy car rides without any difficulties, but others get very nervous. Sherley’s Serenity tablets help to keep your dog calm, and can be given 1-2 hours before a long car journey.
Gentle leader
Beaphar offers dog owners a helping hand
'Want to enjoy a gentle walk in the park with your dog….but you have a dog that pulls on the lead? ...discover a gentle solution with the Beaphar Gentle Leader® Headcollar.
Nothing destroys a pleasant walk in the park with your best friend than having him drag you from pillar to post, to tree, to other dogs, with your arms being pulled out of their sockets and your hand on a white knuckle ride as you try and hang on to his lead!
Even little dogs can pull like mad on the lead and big dogs can pull you over with either a sudden urge to chase a squirrel, jump up at your friends, or a sustained effort of strength as they insist on seeing their friends. Strong, strapping folk may be able to hang on and just about control their dog, but for those of us of slighter build or who are just getting a bit long in the tooth for a daily trial of strength while walking the dog, there is a better way with Beaphar Gentle Leader® Headcollar for dogs. It’s a wonderful invention that treats the dog who thinks he is horse exactly like a horse. By leading him by the head, Beaphar Gentle Leader® gently controls him, and helps you manage him without a struggle.
Peter Neville, a leading animal behaviourist, commented “The Gentle Leader® Headcollar has helped many a dog owner all over the world to control their dog in a gentle and non-invasive manner, without any of that cruel choking of days past. It’s resulted in a huge improvement in the quality of life for millions of pulling dogs throughout the world and for their owners too. Their arms have been able to realign themselves into their sockets after being yanked and extended so many times by their untrained or excitable dog. It’s been a win-win situation through this one amazing invention, which can, incidentally, be found in the famous US Smithsonian Institute display of the “100 Best Inventions” that have helped improve the quality of everyday human life.”
The nice thing about Beaphar Gentle Leader® is that it allows owners to stop their dogs from pulling in a calm and gentle way. Its individually adjustable fit means that it is snug and comfortable around the dog’s face and neck. A dog often chooses for himself to stop pulling on the lead when he feels the pressure that he has generated by pulling. This involves no use of choke chains or coercion or punishment. With a Beaphar Gentle Leader®, as soon as the dog starts to pull and apply tension on the lead, the force is re-distributed around the headcollar. The unique design that facilitates this distribution of pressure to these areas around the dog’s head is what distinguishes the Beaphar Gentle Leader® from all other canine headcollars and earned it the right to a patent all over the western world. It is, if you like, a headcollar that takes account of the dog’s behaviour, and of your comfort. So now you can enjoy that gentle walk in the park together! More information?
