Your bird’s feathers ensure it stays warm. An additional function of the feathers is, of course, flying. Your bird will normally enjoy looking after its feathers and, like people, birds love taking a bath. In contrast to many other animal species, birds love water, and you will please them by attaching a bird bath to their cage once a week. If you keep bigger birds, you may find that they will enjoy being squirted with a plant sprayer. Make sure you introduce this gradually, because the first few times your bird may be frightened until it gets used to it.
